Siġġiewi Local Council organised a confererence titled ‘EchoGreen Project’, where our school was invited to participate and address issues regarding Sustainable Development. Students from our school engaged the participants by asking them what they understood by the term ‘Sustainable Development’. Amira Galea 9.2, Kristy Attard and Kayden Formosa, both from 10.2, spoke about the good practices that take place in our school to safeguard the environment. They also proposed some initiatives that our school can consider to contribute towards a sustainable community such as improving sustainable mobility, better use of natural resources and waste management. Participants, namely mayors and educators from various parts of Europe were present at the conference. Well done to Amira, Kristy and Kayden! You made our school proud, but most of all you, made your voice heard!
